Foundations and flatwork — 2070 Construction, Metro Atlanta
Foundations and flatwork Metro Atlanta

2070 Construction self-performs foundations and flatwork concrete for residential and commercial development projects. Our scope covers footings, stem walls, slab on grade, building pads, cast-in-place retaining walls, and the site concrete that ties a development together. We work for developers and general contractors who want to keep the concrete package under one contract with their site contractor.

Foundations are where the sitework and the structure meet

Almost every site contractor stops before foundations. A developer running a 16-home townhome project typically hires one contractor for the sitework and a separate concrete sub for the foundations. When the grade is not right, or the pad compaction does not hit spec, or the layout is a fraction off, the developer is in the middle of the argument. 2070 Construction removes that argument. We set the grade, we compact the pad, and we pour the footings — in that order, by the same team, on the same schedule.

Keeping the foundation and flatwork concrete under the same contract as the sitework is the cleanest version of permit to pad ready: one accountable party from raw land through a poured, build-ready foundation.

Questions

Do you self-perform concrete?

Yes. Footings, slabs, retaining walls, and flatwork are self-performed on every project. We do not subcontract our foundation and flatwork scope.

What foundation types do you handle?

Strip footings, spread footings, pad footings, stem walls, and slab on grade, plus deeper foundation types when called out by the structural engineer. We do not self-perform piling; we coordinate with specialty piling contractors when the project requires them.

Can you do cast-in-place retaining walls?

Yes. We self-perform cast-in-place retaining walls, including large walls on development sites with significant grade separation. Uptown Row included large retaining walls as part of the site package.

Do you pour slabs and site flatwork?

Yes. Slab on grade, building pads, equipment and dumpster pads, and the civil concrete that finishes a site are part of our flatwork scope, delivered with the rest of the site package.
