Land clearing and demolition — 2070 Construction, Metro Atlanta
Land clearing and demolition Metro Atlanta

2070 Construction performs land clearing and demolition for residential subdivisions, townhome communities, build-to-rent developments, and commercial sites. We are a development-scale site contractor. We do not perform single-tree residential removal, stump grinding for homeowners, backyard demolition, or small residential tear-downs. Our clients are developers, general contractors, civil engineers, and municipalities preparing land for new construction.

The land clearing and demolition scope

  • Site clearingRemoval of trees, undergrowth, and vegetation across a development footprint. Includes chipping, hauling, and debris management.
  • GrubbingRemoval of root systems, stumps, and organic material from the topsoil layer in preparation for earthwork.
  • Tree removalSelective or full tree removal across the site, coordinated with jurisdictional tree preservation and mitigation requirements where applicable.
  • Structural demolitionExisting buildings, foundations, slabs, and asphalt on sites that require teardown before new construction. Scaled for development projects, not single-home demolition.
  • Asphalt and concrete removalExisting pavement, parking areas, and concrete structures on redevelopment sites.
  • Debris hauling and disposalCoordination with licensed disposal facilities for construction and demolition debris.
  • Permitting coordinationDemolition permits and tree removal permits where the jurisdiction requires them, handled as part of our permitting scope.

Clearing sets the tone for the whole project

The first crew on a site is typically the clearing crew. How clearing is executed — whether trees are removed to the right line, whether protected trees are actually protected, whether the site is left cleanly chipped and hauled or left as a mess for the next crew — affects every scope that follows. 2070 Construction delivers clearing and demolition with that context in mind. We read the tree survey and the tree preservation plan before the chainsaws start. We coordinate with the jurisdiction on tree removal permits and mitigation. We leave the site ready for earthwork, not ready for a cleanup crew.

Questions

Do you handle residential tree removal?

Only as part of a development project. If you are a homeowner who needs a tree removed from your yard, we cannot help you. If you are a developer clearing a site for new construction, yes.

Do you handle structural demolition?

Yes, at development scale — existing buildings, foundations, slabs, and pavement on sites that require teardown before new construction. We do not handle single-family home teardowns as standalone jobs.

Can you coordinate tree preservation?

Yes. Where the jurisdiction requires tree preservation zones, tree protection fencing, or mitigation planting, we coordinate that scope with the civil plan and the jurisdiction's arborist.

Do you pull demolition permits?

Yes. We pull demolition permits in 2070's name under our NASCLA general contractor license, as part of our permitting and entitlement scope.

Can you handle asphalt and concrete removal on redevelopment sites?

Yes. Existing pavement, parking lots, and concrete structures can be removed and hauled as part of the clearing scope on redevelopment projects.
