Atlanta structural concrete contractor
Post-tensioned slabs, elevated and suspended decks, cast-in-place structural and retaining walls, and shoring coordination for commercial and multifamily projects across Metro Atlanta.
2070 Construction self-performs the structural concrete elements most site contractors hand off — post-tensioned slabs, elevated and suspended decks, cast-in-place structural and retaining walls, and the shoring that tight sites require. We deliver these scopes for developers and as a concrete subcontractor to general contractors on commercial and multifamily projects.
The structural concrete scope
- Post-tensioned slabsPost-tensioned slab coordination, tendon placement, and stressing sequence management for elevated and structural slabs.
- Elevated and suspended decksFormwork, shoring, reinforcing, and placement for suspended slabs over parking, retail, or mechanical levels.
- Cast-in-place structural wallsCore walls, shear walls, and structural cast-in-place elements that carry building load.
- Cast-in-place retaining wallsGravity, cantilever, and counterfort walls for grade separation and below-grade structures.
- Shoring coordinationExcavation shoring coordination for tight, below-grade sites where there is no room to bench or slope.
- Below-grade structural concreteFoundation walls under lateral earth pressure and suspended slabs over parking or mechanical levels.

View projectThe structural concrete most site contractors cannot self-perform
Post-tensioned slabs, elevated decks, and below-grade structural concrete are the elements most site contractors hand off to a specialty sub. 2070 Construction self-performs them. On VIO Sandy Springs, that meant a post-tensioned shell over two levels of subterranean parking; on The Gregory, a six-story condominium, it is the same structural capability.
The structural concrete capability matters even on horizontal projects. Crews that can stress post-tensioned tendons and pour a suspended slab over an underground parking deck can also pour a straight residential foundation.
Questions
Do you handle post-tensioned concrete?
Yes. We coordinate post-tensioned slab layout, tendon placement, and the stressing sequence with the structural engineer. The VIO Sandy Springs shell was built with post-tensioned concrete across the structure.
Do you self-perform elevated decks and structural walls?
Yes. Suspended and elevated slabs, core and shear walls, and cast-in-place structural elements are part of our self-performed scope.
Do you coordinate shoring for below-grade work?
Yes. On tight below-grade sites we coordinate the excavation shoring required to build subterranean levels, as we did on the half-acre VIO site.
Will you work as a concrete subcontractor to a general contractor?
Yes. We frequently deliver structural concrete as the concrete subcontractor to the GC, working in tandem with their team.
